In a proactive step toward increasing access to Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and Family Planning (FP) services, the Community-Based Service Providers (CBSPs), Community Health Workers (CHWs), and staff of Planned Parenthood Association of Sierra Leone (PPASL) in Bo have launched a new initiative, ‘Morning and evening clinics.
The sessions are strategically held during the morning and late evening hours to reach community members who are often unavailable during the day because of farming or business engagements.
On Saturday, April 19th, 2025, the first clinic session was successfully rolled out in the Bethlehem community, located behind Bo No. 2 Extension.
The initiative saw an impressive turnout and a high demand for SRH and FP services, signalling both the need and effectiveness of the outreach.
PPASL remains committed to removing barriers concerning health issues, constantly providing access, and ensuring that no one is left behind, especially women, men, and young people in hard-to-reach communities.
